In a match held in Basra, South Korea defeated Iraq 2-0. This victory not only secured South Korea qualification but also confirmed Jordan’s place in the World Cup. Kim Jin-Gyu and Oh Hyeon-Gyu scored the goals for South Korea.
Uzbekistan qualified after a 0-0 draw with the UAE.
In the third round of Asian qualifiers, Iran and Uzbekistan are the top two teams in Group A, both securing World Cup berths. In Group B, South Korea and Jordan hold the top two positions and have also booked their tickets to the tournament.
