Southwestern State College (SWSC) is set to organize the SWSC SEE 3×3 Basketball Tournament starting this Monday. According to Dr. Rajendra KC, Campus Chief of SWSC, a total of 50 teams will participate in this thrilling competition. Among these, 32 teams will compete in the boys’ category and 18 teams in the girls’ category.
The boys’ teams will be divided into 8 groups, while the girls’ teams will be placed into 4 groups. Matches will be played in a league-cum-knockout format, ensuring high competition and excitement throughout the two-day event.
Ganesh Mahara, the Program Director, shared that the winning teams in both categories will receive NPR 15,000 in cash along with scholarships for +2 studies. The runners-up teams will get NPR 10,000 and scholarships as well. Additionally, every winning team player and the ‘Most Valuable Player’ (MVP) will be awarded a 50% scholarship. Runners-up players will receive 40%, and all participants will be granted a 20% scholarship.
Sarita Shakya Pradhan, the International Relations Coordinator, revealed that organizing the tournament will cost approximately NPR 300,000. The matches will take place over two days at the organizer’s basketball court located in Basundhara.
