Nepal’s Rajat Budathoki, also known by his gamer tag (KILLERM12), made history at the eFootball Championship 2025 World Finals by becoming the first Nepali to compete at this global event.
Competing in Group D, Rajat delivered a mixed performance winning one match, drawing another, and losing one. He ended the group stage with 4 points from 4 matches and narrowly missed advancing to the next round.
Rajat started strong by defeating a player from Thailand in his first match. He then suffered a loss to Tunisia and later played a thrilling draw against Brazil’s Juninho in his final group match.
Although he couldn’t make it past the group stage, Rajat expressed pride in representing Nepal on such a prestigious platform. “This is a moment of mixed emotions,” he said. “But it’s a proud moment for me and for Nepal. Competing at the eFootball Championship 2025 World Finals is a dream come true.”
He shared that he began playing eFootball during the COVID-19 lockdowns and never imagined reaching the world finals one day.
With this achievement, Rajat Budathoki has opened the door for aspiring Nepali eFootball players, proving that global recognition is possible with dedication and passion.
