Quality Kathmandu Schools (QKS), a group of 25 schools in Kathmandu, announced the launch of its first-ever T-10 cricket tournament. The event will take place in November.
According to the organizers, the eight-day tournament will begin on November 20 and will feature 16 schools. The competition will follow a league-cum-knockout format.
The matches will be held at the Pakistan Embassy’s cricket ground in Dhumbarahi.
“Cricket has become very popular in Nepal, and it also offers career opportunities now,” said Dilip Rana, president of QKS. “This first tournament is aimed at giving students a platform to explore their interest in cricket.”
The teams will include students up to grade 10 and will be made up of both boys and girls. “Girls are just as talented as boys,” Rana added.
