Nepal vs West Indies: Nepal is set to make history as it prepares to play a T20 series against West Indies for the first time ever. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) officially announced this landmark T20 International series through a press release today.

The series will be held in Sharjah, UAE, in September 2025, and it will be Nepal’s debut T20I meeting with West Indies, the two-time T20 World Cup champions. This marks a major moment for Nepal cricket on the global stage.

This T20 series against West Indies also serves as vital preparation for the T20 World Cup Asia Qualifiers, which are scheduled to take place in Oman this October. CAN had earlier included a T20I series with a Test nation in its annual calendar for September, and this series fulfills that commitment.

The match dates have been confirmed. The first T20I will be played on 27 September 2025, the second on 28 September, and the final match on 30 September. All games will take place at the historic Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

CAN has thanked the West Indies Cricket Board and Emirates Cricket Board for their cooperation in organizing this groundbreaking event. Their support is seen as recognition of Nepal’s growing stature in world cricket.

It’s worth noting that West Indies’ A team had toured Nepal last year for a T20 series. That successful tour paved the way for this full-fledged international series.
