Nepal to Face Bangladesh in SAFF U-20 Women's Championship Clash Today

Nepal is set to face defending champions Bangladesh in their second match of the SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship 2024, taking place in Bangladesh. The match will kick off at 6:45 PM Nepali time at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in Dhaka.

Nepal began their campaign with a dominant 6-1 victory over Bhutan, showing sharp attack and solid teamwork. Bangladesh also impressed, thrashing Sri Lanka 9-1 in their opening match. Both teams currently sit on 3 points each, but Bangladesh leads Nepal on goal difference.

Nepal is aiming not only to win but also to take revenge for their loss against Bangladesh in the final of the previous edition of the championship. Head coach Yam Prasad Gurung has set his sights on the title, reminding fans of their painful defeat two years ago. He believes this match is the perfect opportunity to turn the tables.

The SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship follows a double round-robin format, with four teams competing. The team with the highest points at the end will be crowned champions. A win for Nepal today would boost their chances of reaching the top and strengthen their claim to the title.
