Nepal crushes Indonesia by 370 runs in ACC Men's U-16 East Zone Cup

Nepal defeated Indonesia by a massive 370 runs in the ACC Men’s U16 East Zone Cup 2025 at Selangor Turf Club in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, bowling them out for just 50 runs in 24.3 overs after setting a daunting 421-run target.

Batting first after being put in, Nepal got off to an explosive start. Parimarjan Yadav blasted 71 off just 28 deliveries, including four fours and eight sixes, during a 130-run opening stand with Prasiddha Jaishi in under 10 overs.

Jaishi anchored the innings with a brilliant 132 off 114 balls, striking 15 fours and a six. He shared a 148-run third-wicket partnership with Raunak Srivastav, who scored 88 off 71 balls.

Despite losing wickets after the departure of Jaishi and Srivastav, Nepal continued to score freely. Joy Thapa struck a quickfire 57 off 41 balls, Sugam Budhathoki remained unbeaten on 39, and Roshan Shahi added 10 not out as Nepal finished strongly, scoring 33 runs in the final 22 balls to post 420-5 in 50 overs.

For Indonesia, I Ketut Darma Putra P was the pick of the bowlers with 2 for 29 from four overs. Kavin Neeraj Chadda, Rayhan Riza Athaila K, and Mahendra Aji Yuda Pratama picked up a wicket each, while the rest of the attack struggled with economy and discipline.

In reply, Indonesia faltered from the beginning. Only Kavin Neeraj Chadda (15) and Divit Nanda (14) managed to reach double figures.

Bipin Prasad Sharma ran through the Indonesian lineup, taking six wickets for just 12 runs in 7.3 overs. Shubham Khanal and Sugam Budhathoki took one wicket apiece, while two batters were run out. Nepal conceded only seven extras in a disciplined bowling display.

This is Nepal’s third straight win in the tournament, defeating Singapore and Japan earlier. They will now conclude their group-stage campaign against Bhutan on July 1.
