Nepal Advances to Final in ACC U-16 East Zone Cup After 9-Wicket Win Over Malaysia

Nepal has reached the final of the ACC U-16 East Zone Cup by defeating Malaysia by 9 wickets in the semifinal on Thursday. Nepal comfortably chased the target of 91 runs in just 11.4 overs, losing only one wicket. Parimarjan Yadav starred with an unbeaten 59 runs off 35 balls, guiding Nepal to victory. Shiwansh Bajgai supported well with an unbeaten 23 runs, helping Nepal finish strong.

Batting first, Malaysia was all out for 90 runs in 43.1 overs. Muhammad Fathul Muin Kamarudin top-scored with 38 runs, while captain Deeaz Patro added 10. Other batsmen could not reach double figures. Abhay Yadav was the pick of the bowlers, taking 4 wickets for just 15 runs in his 10 overs. Shubham Khanal impressed with 3 wickets for 12 runs and 4 maidens. Captain Bipin Prasad Sharma and Sachin Bhatta chipped in with one wicket each.

Nepal will face the winner of the Hong Kong and Singapore match in the ACC U-16 East Zone Cup final, aiming to lift the trophy.
