Marcus Rashford, the English forward from Manchester United, has officially joined Spanish giants FC Barcelona on a season-long loan for the 2025/26 campaign.
According to Barcelona‘s official statement, the deal includes an option to buy the player permanently by June 30, 2026, with a reported transfer fee of €30 million, as per Sky Sports.
Barcelona confirmed:
“FC Barcelona and Manchester United have reached an agreement for the loan of Marcus Rashford until June 30, 2026. The deal includes an option to make the move permanent.”
Rashford will wear the number 14 jersey at Camp Nou. Speaking at his unveiling, the 27-year-old said,
“I’m super excited. Barcelona is a club where dreams come true. It’s a place that wins big titles and stands for something meaningful. I already feel at home here. This was a big decision, and I believe I made the right one. It’s a family-oriented club where players can express their talent freely.”
This is Rashford’s second loan move, having briefly played for Aston Villa earlier. Until then, he had spent his entire senior career with Manchester United, scoring 87 goals in 287 appearances. At Aston Villa, he netted 2 goals in 10 matches.
Now, Marcus Rashford looks to begin a new chapter with Barcelona, aiming to contribute to the club’s pursuit of trophies and regain top form in La Liga.
