Manaslu Boys and Warriors Girls became champions in the South Western State College SWSC SEE 3×3 Basketball tournament held at Basundhara. In a thrilling boys’ final, Manaslu defeated BMK by a narrow margin of 18-17. In the girls’ final, Warriors won against Valley Public with a close score of 13-12. Both winning teams received a cash prize of NPR 15,000, while the runners-up were awarded NPR 10,000.
Each player from the winning teams and the Most Valuable Players (MVPs) were given a 50% scholarship. The runners-up teams received 40% scholarships, and all participating players were granted 20%. This tournament marked the second title in three days for both Manaslu and Warriors, as they had earlier won the LNA SEE Cup 3×3 Basketball competition on Sunday.
Shubham Saiju from Manaslu Boys and Divyansha Karki from Warriors Girls were named the Most Valuable Players of the tournament. The awards ceremony was conducted by SWSC officials, including Campus Chief Dr. Rajendra KC, Vice Principal Harisingh KC, Program Coordinator Rajendra Lamichhane, Program Director Ganesh Mahara, and International Relations Coordinator Sarita Shakya Pradhan.
The competition saw strong participation with 32 boys’ teams and 18 girls’ teams playing in a league cum knockout format, highlighting the growing enthusiasm and talent in the SEE 3×3 Basketball event.
