Legendary runner Fauja Singh has passed away at the age of 114 after a tragic road accident in India. The iconic athlete was reportedly struck by a vehicle while crossing the Jalandhar-Pathankot National Highway. Despite being rushed to a hospital, Fauja Singh was declared dead shortly after arrival.
According to his family, Fauja Singh was walking near his home when the accident occurred. He suffered severe injuries and could not be saved despite prompt medical attention.
Fauja Singh became a global inspiration for fitness and determination. In 2000, he participated in his first marathon in London at nearly 89 years old. He completed the race in 6 hours and 54 minutes, drawing worldwide admiration for his incredible stamina and spirit.
