Himal Aryal and Prabha Angdembe have been selected to represent Nepal in the upcoming World Para Athletics Championship.
According to Om Nath Siwakoti, President of the Para Athletics Association Nepal, the championship will be held in New Delhi, India, from September 26 to October 5.
Himal Aryal will compete in the shot put event, while Prabha Angdembe will participate in the long jump. Earlier in February, Prabha had won a silver medal in the long jump at the World Para Athletics Grand Prix held in New Delhi.
President Siwakoti said that it is a historic moment for Nepal, as this will be the country’s first-ever participation in the World Para Athletics Championships.
