Help Nepal Sports Club continued their impressive run in the CAVA Champions League with a nail-biting 3-2 victory over Kazakhstan’s top team, Zhaiyk VC. The thrilling encounter was held on Monday in the Maldives, where Help Nepal showed determination and grit to seal their third win in the tournament.
Help Nepal started strong, taking the first set 25-22. However, Zhaiyk VC bounced back quickly, winning the next two sets 25-18 and 25-23, putting Help Nepal under pressure.
Refusing to back down, Help Nepal made a stunning comeback in the fourth set, winning it 25-18 and forcing the match into a decisive fifth set. With momentum on their side, the Nepali champions held their nerve and secured the final set 15-11, claiming a 3-2 overall win.
This victory pushed Help Nepal to second place in the points table with three wins out of four matches played.
They now prepare for their final group match against Sri Lanka Ports Authority on Tuesday. A win in that game would put Help Nepal in strong contention for the CAVA Champions League title.
