Dortmund and Fluminense Qualify for Club World Cup Round of 16

German club Borussia Dortmund and Brazilian club Fluminense have reached the Round of 16 in the FIFA Club World Cup.

In last night’s Group F matches, Dortmund secured a hard-fought 1-0 win over Ulsan HD, while Fluminense played a goalless draw against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Dortmund finished top of Group F to advance to the knockout stage. Daniel Svensson scored the winning goal in the first half. Although Dortmund controlled the game, Ulsan’s goalkeeper Jo Hyeon-woo made several key saves to prevent more goals.

In the other match, Fluminense’s draw with South African side Mamelodi Sundowns was enough for them to qualify for the next round.

With this, four Brazilian clubs—Flamengo, Palmeiras, Botafogo, and Fluminense—have now entered the Round of 16.
