Football legend David Beckham has officially been knighted by King Charles III, marking a proud moment in his remarkable career. The former England captain now holds the title ‘Sir David Beckham’ for his outstanding services to football and charity.

Beckham is widely regarded as one of the finest midfielders in football history. His professional journey took him across continents, playing for some of the world’s biggest clubs — Manchester United, Real Madrid, AC Milan, LA Galaxy, and Paris Saint-Germain.

At Manchester United, Beckham was a key player under Sir Alex Ferguson, playing 265 Premier League games and scoring 62 goals. He later joined Real Madrid and made 116 appearances with 13 goals. In the USA, he helped popularize soccer through LA Galaxy, scoring 18 times in 98 matches. Short spells at AC Milan (2 goals in 29 matches) and PSG marked the final chapters of his on-field career.

On the international stage, David Beckham proudly wore the England shirt 115 times from 1996 to 2009, scoring 17 goals. He captained the national team in numerous memorable matches and was known for his precision, leadership, and set-piece mastery.

Aside from his football achievements, Beckham has also made significant contributions off the field. Since 2005, he has served as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, focusing on child welfare globally.

In a memorable appearance during the 2023 Men’s Cricket World Cup, Beckham visited India and watched the semifinal clash between India and New Zealand in Mumbai. He was seen interacting with cricket legends Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar, delighting fans across both sports.

With this knighthood, David Beckham joins the ranks of British sports legends recognized for their excellence and humanitarian impact. The honour cements his status not just as a football icon but also as a global role model.
