Lumbini Lions, a franchise team of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), has appointed Bhawana Ghimire as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
A well-known name in Nepali cricket administration, Bhawana Ghimire previously served as the CEO of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). With her years of experience in cricket management, both at the domestic and international levels, her leadership is expected to significantly strengthen the team’s strategy and long-term goals.
The club believes Bhawana Ghimire involvement will bring fresh energy to the management and contribute to the overall development of players. She has also worked as a consultant for various ICC events, showcasing her expertise on the global stage.
Welcoming her to the team, Lumbini Lions Chairman Ishwar GC said,
“We are thrilled to welcome Bhawana Ghimire to the Lions family. Her deep understanding of cricket and dedicated leadership will surely take Lumbini Lions to greater heights. We are confident that under her guidance, our journey will be even more inspiring and successful.”
As the team gears up for the second season of NPL, Lumbini Lions has already retained six players, including last season’s marquee player and captain, Rohit Paudel.
