German giants Bayern Munich delivered a stunning performance in the FIFA Club World Cup, defeating New Zealand’s Auckland City FC 10–0 in their Group C opener. Young star Jamal Musiala stole the spotlight with a brilliant hat-trick, leading Bayern’s charge with pace and precision.
Veterans Kingsley Coman and Thomas Muller each netted twice, while Michael Olise also scored a brace. Sacha Boey added one more to complete the double-digit scoreline.
Despite the goal fest, England captain Harry Kane failed to score. But Bayern’s dominant attacking display more than compensated for his quiet night.
This edition of the FIFA Club World Cup features 32 teams. Bayern Munich will next face Boca Juniors, a highly awaited showdown in the tournament.
