Arun Man Joshi Resigns from His Post as ANFA Deputy General Secretary

Three Star Club president Arun Man Joshi resigned as Deputy General Secretary of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Wednesday. This came after ANFA’s Competitions Committee decided to demote Three Star Club to the B Division League, a decision he described as unjust and unilateral.

Joshi explained that the ongoing injustice toward Three Star Club, especially the latest relegation decision, made it inappropriate for him to continue in his ANFA position. “As a club’s representative at ANFA, I could not morally remain in my post after the club’s punishment,” he declared.

The controversy began after the final match of the A Division League when Three Star Club was accused of breaching rules by fielding a foreign player. ANFA’s Appeals Committee found the club liable, canceled the match result, and demoted the club. Joshi claimed that the verdict was influenced by APF Club, which was not involved in the match, making the entire process unfair and illegal.

Arun Man Joshi also recalled past incidents when Three Star Club was unfairly disqualified from international competitions due to ANFA’s mistakes. He said that once again, ANFA proved the saying, “justice delayed is justice denied.”

While serving as president of Three Star Club, Joshi took on the responsibility of ANFA‘s Deputy General Secretary and worked honestly in the role. However, due to the continuous and unfair treatment of the club, he decided to resign.
