Panchpokhari T20 Cricket Tournament

The much-awaited Panchpokhari T20 Cricket Tournament is set to begin from Jestha 27 (June 10) at TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, and will run until Ashadh 2 (June 16). This is the seventh edition of the popular district-level cricket tournament, featuring 7 competitive teams from Sindhupalchok.

New Player Rule to Elevate Local Talent

Unlike previous years, this edition introduces a fresh twist—each team can now include two experienced players who have represented Bagmati Province in national or international age-group competitions. This rule aims to help local youth players learn from seasoned cricketers, sharing the dressing room and gaining valuable exposure.

Prizes and Awards in Panchpokhari T20 Cricket Tournament

The winning team will receive NPR 1,00,000, along with a trophy, medals, and certificates. The runner-up will get NPR 50,000 with similar rewards.
Individual awards include:

  • Player of the Series
  • Best Batsman
  • Best Bowler
  • Player of the Match

Free Training for Top Players

Continuing its tradition, Great Himalayan Cricket Academy will offer:

  • 6 months of free training to the best player
  • 3 months of free training to the best bowler and batter

Additionally, Angels Sports Cricket Academy will provide 3 months of free coaching to top-performing players.

Organized by Local Sports Authorities

The tournament is jointly organized by the Panchpokhari Rural Municipality Sports Development Committee and the Sindhupalchok District Cricket Association. Organizers have confirmed that all preparations are complete and the tournament is ready to go.
