UK-based Nepali team Max Cricket Club will make its debut at the NCCC Cup 2025, a Nepali Canadian Cricket Club Cup event, set to take place on August 9 and 10 in Toronto, Canada. This is the club’s first appearance in the international Nepali T20 cricket scene. The tournament will be played in a T20 league format at the Dixie–407 Cricket Ground.
The team will be led by Myanni Gurung, who expressed excitement about the opportunity. He said, “This is the beginning of a new journey. We are trying to create opportunities for talented Nepali players living abroad.”
Max Cricket Club squad will feature Nepali players who have already played competitive cricket in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. The tournament will bring together eight teams from the USA, Canada, and the UK, all consisting of Nepali-origin players.
The winner of the NCCC Cup 2025 will receive $5,000 Canadian dollars, while the second-place team will get $2,000 Canadian dollars. The competition promises a thrilling showcase of Nepali cricket talent from around the world.
