PSG Make History with First Champions League Title in 5-0 Rout of Inter Milan

French giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have won their maiden UEFA Champions League title, delivering a stunning 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the final held on Wednesday.

In a commanding performance, PSG took control early on, with Achraf Hakimi opening the scoring in the 12th minute. Désiré Doué added a second in the 20th minute, putting the French champions firmly in charge.

Doué struck again in the 63rd minute, further asserting PSG’s dominance. Ten minutes later, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia found the net on a swift counter-attack to make it 4-0. Substitute Senny Mayulu sealed the emphatic win with a goal in the 86th minute — just three minutes after coming off the bench.

Inter Milan struggled to make an impact throughout the match, failing to mount any serious attacking threats.

Under head coach Luis Enrique, PSG’s road to the final included victories over Liverpool in the Round of 16, Aston Villa in the quarterfinals, and Arsenal in the semifinals.

This triumph marks a historic moment for the club, coming after the departures of global stars Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappé. Despite reaching the final in 2020 — where they lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich — PSG had never before lifted the coveted European trophy.

The win cements PSG’s place in European football history and signals a new era of success for the Parisian club.
