Everest Club Secures Second Win in PM Cup Women’s Volleyball League

Everest Volleyball Club has secured its second victory in the 9th PM Cup NBA Volleyball League in the women’s category.

In today’s first match held at the covered hall of Pokhara Stadium, Everest defeated Karnali Province in straight sets, 3-0.

With the inclusion of three Thai players, Everest triumphed over Karnali with set scores of 25-14, 25-7, and 25-20. In the women’s league standings, Nepal Police Club holds the top position with 9 points, while Tip Top New Diamond Sports Club is in second place, also with 9 points. Nepal APF Club has 6 points.

In the women’s category today, Nepal Police and Tribhuvan Army Club will face off. There will also be 4 matches in the men’s category today.

Organized by the Nepal Volleyball Association, the tournament will run until Jestha 15 (May 28). There are 6 teams in the women’s category and 8 teams in the men’s category.

After all teams play each other once, the top two teams in the standings will advance to the final, while the next two teams will compete for third place.

The winners in both the men’s and women’s categories will receive NPR 800,000, the runners-up NPR 400,000, and the third-place teams NPR 200,000. The most valuable player will receive NPR 50,000, and the best players in each category will receive NPR 25,000 each.

The top two teams in the women’s category will qualify to compete in the AVC Club Championship to be held in Nepal. The winner in the men’s category will represent Nepal in the AVC Club Championship in the Maldives.
