With three consecutive wins and 9 points, New Diamond has climbed to the top of the points table. Army, on the other hand, suffered its third consecutive defeat, weakening its chances of reaching the semifinals.

Meanwhile, a match is currently underway between the two departmental teams, defending champions Nepal Police Club and Nepal APF Club, both of which have won two matches in a row.

In the men’s category, four matches will also be held today. The fixtures include Police vs. Sudurpaschim Province, Koshi Province vs. Tip Top Help Nepal, Gandaki Province vs. Manimukunda Volleyball Club, and APF vs. Army.

Organized by the Nepal Volleyball Association, the week-long tournament features six teams in the women’s category and eight in the men’s. After all teams play against each other, the top four teams in the points table will advance to the semifinals.

The champions in both categories will receive NPR 800,000, the runners-up will receive NPR 400,000, and the third-placed teams will get NPR 200,000. The best player of the tournament will receive NPR 50,000, while the best players in individual categories will each get NPR 25,000.

The winning teams from the league will represent Nepal in the AVC (Asian Volleyball Confederation) Club Championships.
