Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has instructed the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Sports Council (NSC) to make timely and effective preparations to complete the 10th National Sports Games by Mangsir (November–December) this year.
During a meeting held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar, PM Oli emphasized the importance of the games, especially as they precede the 2026 Asian Games in Japan. He urged officials to start preparations immediately.
The Prime Minister also advised selecting the date and venue for the games carefully and not to change them once finalized. As the patron of the NSC, he stressed the need for better coordination between the ministry and the council.
The meeting was attended by Youth and Sports Minister Tejulal Chaudhary, Secretary Dr. Hari Prasad Lamsal, NSC Vice President Dhruva Acharya, and Member Secretary Tanklal Ghising, among others.
