Luis Díaz is set to join Bayern Munich from Liverpool after the German champions agreed a deal worth €75 million, including add-ons.
Earlier, Bayern had offered £58.6 million for the Colombian forward, which Liverpool rejected.
Díaz, 28, was left out of Liverpool’s squad for their 4-2 friendly win against AC Milan in Hong Kong. He has now been given permission to travel to Europe for his medical.
Liverpool have already signed Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike this summer, and are also interested in Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.
Díaz joined Liverpool from Porto in January 2022 for an initial fee of £37 million. He scored 41 goals in 148 appearances for the club.
Last season, he netted 17 goals across all competitions his best-ever season. He scored 13 goals in the Premier League as Liverpool finished second.
Bayern Munich won their 34th Bundesliga title last season, scoring a league-high 99 goals. However, they were eliminated in the German Cup Round of 16 and in the Champions League quarter-finals.
