The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has honored Nepali Dr. Raju Dangol Maharjan with the AFC Distinguished Service Award – Silver. He received the award during the 8th AFC Medical Conference held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Dr. Dangol has been involved in football-related medical services in Nepal for over 20 years. He has also taken part in various AFC medical training programs and served as a team doctor in Nepali football.
He is the second Nepali doctor to receive this recognition, after Dr. Ajay Rana.
