Purnima Rai Becomes Top Scorer of SAFF U-20 Women's Championship

Purnima Rai has been crowned the top scorer of the SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship held in Bangladesh. She scored a total of 10 goals in 6 matches and won the Golden Boot award. Her performance included two hat-tricks.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh’s Sagarika was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament. She scored four goals in the final match against Nepal. Despite being suspended for three matches due to a red card earlier in the tournament, she made a remarkable comeback.

Another Bangladeshi player, Mile Akter, was awarded Best Goalkeeper of the tournament. The Fair Play Award went to Sri Lanka.

In the final match held on Monday, Nepal lost to Bangladesh 4-0 and had to settle for second place. With this win, Bangladesh claimed their fifth SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship title.
