Lumbini Lions, a franchise team in the Nepal Premier League (NPL), has officially unveiled its new logo. The team said the logo reflects a blend of sports, culture, and national pride.
The new logo features symbols such as the Maya Devi Temple, the historic Ashoka Pillars, the colors of Nepal’s flag, and the moon and sun emblems. The golden lettering in the logo represents peace and the pride of Lumbini.
According to team chairman Ishwar GC, the logo showcases the team’s strength and the identity of Lumbini. Founded in 2081 B.S., the Lumbini Lions aim to begin a new chapter in Nepali cricket with this refreshed branding.
For the upcoming second season of the NPL, the team has retained six players, including last season’s marquee and captain, Rohit Paudel.
The NPL mini-auction is scheduled to take place in August.
