Horaa Esports Heading to Saudi Arabia for PUBG Mobile World Cup

Horaa Esports, is all set to compete in the highly anticipated PUBG Mobile Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The team is determined to give its best and proudly represent Nepal on the global stage.

The Esports World Cup began on July 8 and will run until August 24. The PUBG Mobile World Cup will take place from July 25 to August 3, featuring 24 top teams from around the world.

Horaa Esports is the only team from Nepal to qualify for this grand event. They secured their spot by finishing second in the PMSL CSA tournament held in Kazakhstan. The top three teams Mongolia’s Alpha Gaming, Pakistan’s representative, and Horaa Esports earned their place in the World Cup.

The team received an official send-off at the National Sports Council from Member Secretary Tanka Lal Ghising and IESF Nepal President Anjan Dhamala. Both officials praised Nepal’s growing esports scene and wished the team success.

Team owner Sanjan Gautam (Cr7 Horaa) said, “We are excited to play in the PUBG World Cup for the first time. After clearing the qualifiers, our goal is to give our best and fly Nepal’s flag high.”

The playing squad includes Aakash Sotang Rai, Shital Rai, Suprim Adhikari, Ugyen Lama, Prabesh Gurung, and Aayush Lama, with four active players and two substitutes. The official team members include Sanjan Gautam, Nabaraj Shrestha, and Umesh Budthapa.

The tournament will begin with 24 teams split into three groups. The top 8 teams from the group stage will enter the Grand Finals directly. The remaining 16 teams will compete in the Survival Stage, and 8 more teams will qualify for the finals. A total of 16 teams will battle in the Grand Finals, and the team with the highest points will be crowned champion.

The PUBG Mobile prize pool is set at $3 million, with the winning team taking home $500,000. The full Esports World Cup prize pool has crossed $70 million, up from last year’s $62.5 million.

With football legend Cristiano Ronaldo as the official ambassador, the 2025 Esports World Cup is making waves globally. This year’s event will include 26 tournaments across 25 games, including PUBG Mobile.
