Ramila Lama Wins Gold at Korea Open International Taekwondo Championship

Ramila Lama, a taekwondo player from Nepal Police Club, has made the country proud by winning a gold medal at the Korea Open International Taekwondo Championship 2025.

The event is being held in Korea from the 3rd of Shrawan, featuring global participants aiming to promote taekwondo culture. Ramila Lama took part in the Poomsae (Kata) category under the age group of under 30. She defeated a strong Korean opponent in the third set to secure the gold medal.

Ramila Lama shared her happiness after the win and said the victory has boosted her confidence. She also promised to keep working hard for even better results in the future.

Hailing from Bethanchowk Rural Municipality in Kavre, Ramila Lama received warm congratulations from her local community. The rural municipality’s chairman, Bhagawan Adhikari, expressed his pride and congratulated her through social media. He said her achievement has brought honor to the entire municipality.

She has already won several titles for Nepal Police Club.

After completing her SEE in 2074 BS from Atma Bikash Secondary School, Ramila Lama joined the Nepal Police service. Her journey of dedication and excellence continues to inspire many young athletes in Nepal.
