The Nepal vs Bangladesh friendly matches are officially set to take place as per the schedule, according to the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA). In a press release issued on Friday, ANFA confirmed that Nepal will host Bangladesh on September 6 and 9 (Bhadra 21 and 24) at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu under the FIFA International Match Window.
ANFA stated that all necessary procedures have been completed and approval for these matches was received from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and FIFA on July 7, 2025. Both ANFA and the Bangladesh Football Federation have agreed and confirmed the matches.
Addressing recent confusion in the media, ANFA clarified that the matches will go ahead as planned. These games are part of Nepal’s preparations for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup qualifiers, particularly the two crucial matches against Vietnam.
The upcoming Nepal vs Bangladesh friendly matches mark a significant moment for Nepali football. If held as scheduled, it will bring back men’s international football to Dasharath Stadium — something fans have not seen since Nepal’s last match against Yemen.
