Karnali Yashvis, the reigning champions of the Everest Women’s Volleyball League (EWVL), have retained their star marquee player Sumitra Regmi and head coach Kumar Rai for the upcoming second season.
In the first season of EWVL, Sumitra Regmi captained Karnali to a title win, while Kumar Rai guided the team as the head coach. The duo has long shared a strong professional bond, also working together at New Diamond Youth Sports Club, a leading name in Nepal’s domestic volleyball scene.
Under Coach Rai’s training, Sumitra has rapidly grown into a top-performing athlete. She made her debut for the national team and impressed fans and experts alike with her outstanding performance in a short time.
The second edition of the Everest Women’s Volleyball League (EWVL) is set to begin from Bhadra 20 (early September). Fans are excited to see if Karnali can defend their title with their winning formula intact.
