Nepali Karate Players Diwas Shrestha has made Nepal proud by winning two medals at the National Karate Championship held in Perth, Australia. The event took place on July 14 and 15 and featured top-level fighters from different backgrounds.
Diwas Shrestha, who previously won silver at the 13th South Asian Games (SAG), secured gold in the Open Kumite Team Fight and bronze in the 84 kg+ weight category. His performance stood out among a strong pool of international competitors.
Another Nepali karate player, Bijay Shrestha, brought home a silver medal in the under-60 kg division, showing excellent technique and spirit. Similarly, Sujan Shrestha earned a bronze medal in the under-84 kg category, adding to Nepal’s medal tally.
All three Nepali karate players are currently residing in Australia and continue to represent Nepal with pride in the international arena. Their recent success reflects the dedication and talent of Nepali athletes living abroad.
The Perth championship served as a significant platform for Nepali karate players to demonstrate their strength and skills on an international level.
