The Everest Women’s Volleyball League (EWVL) is all set to host the player auction for its second edition this Thursday.
EWVL CEO Snevy Chapagain announced the date through a press release issued on Sunday. According to her, six franchise teams will participate in the live bidding process, selecting players from categories that include national stars, emerging players, and new talents.
Organizers believe this player auction system will provide teams with a fair chance to build balanced squads while also promoting young and rising athletes.
“With the participation of six franchise teams, this process is expected to mark a historic turning point in the professional journey of Nepali women’s volleyball,” reads the official statement.
The second edition of EWVL will take place from Bhadra 20 to 28 (September 5–13) in Kathmandu. The first edition was won by Karnali, and expectations are high that this season will bring even more excitement, talent, and competition to the court.
