The player registration process for the second season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) has officially started. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has invited all interested Nepali players to register online to be eligible for the upcoming mini-auction.
In a press release issued on Friday, CAN announced that the registration is open for both newly interested players and those who have been released by their franchise teams after the first season. All players are required to register online through the official link provided by the organizer.
During registration, players can choose one of three available categories — A, B, or C — according to their preference. The registration fee has been set at NPR 1,000 per player.
The final deadline to complete the registration is July 22, 2025 (6th of Shrawan). Players who fail to register by this date will not be considered for the Season 2 auction.
The NPL mini auction is scheduled to take place in August 2025. All eight teams have already released their retention lists, and the focus now shifts to the remaining pool of players — both released and newly registered — who will be up for bidding.
As NPL gears up for its second season, the tournament promises more competitive action and greater opportunities for domestic cricket talent across Nepal.
