Former US President Donald Trump will be present at the FIFA Club World Cup final held this Sunday in New Jersey. This comes just a day after FIFA announced opening a new office at Trump Tower in New York, signaling stronger ties with the US government.
The United States is hosting the first edition of the expanded FIFA Club World Cup. Additionally, it is one of the co-hosts, along with Canada and Mexico, for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Chelsea will play the Club World Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
While FIFA already has an office in Miami, the new office at Trump Tower is expected to deepen relations with the US government. FIFA President Gianni Infantino expressed appreciation for the strong support received from the US government and President Trump’s White House Task Force for both the Club World Cup and the upcoming World Cup.
