The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially appointed Sanjog Gupta as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Gupta will serve as the seventh CEO of the ICC, bringing with him extensive experience from the media, entertainment, and sports sectors.
ICC President Jay Shah expressed his enthusiasm about the appointment, stating, “I am pleased to announce Sanjog Gupta as the new ICC CEO. His deep knowledge of sports and business will be a great asset to the ICC.”
Sanjog Gupta began his career as a journalist before joining Star India (now JioStar) in 2010. Over the years, he gained a strong reputation in the sports broadcasting world. In November 2024, Gupta was promoted to CEO of JioStar Sports, a position he held before joining the ICC.
His diverse background in media and sports management is expected to help ICC navigate the complex business of international cricket in the coming years.
