Spanish club Real Madrid defeated Italian side Juventus 1-0 to advance to the quarterfinals of the Club World Cup. The match took place at the Hard Rock Stadium in the USA.
The winning goal came in the 54th minute when 21-year-old Gonzalo Garcia scored with a powerful header. His goal proved to be the match-winner, giving Real Madrid a narrow victory over Juventus.
Real Madrid will now face either Mexican club Monterrey or German side Borussia Dortmund in the semifinals as they aim to progress further in the tournament.
