Nepali national football team captain and goalkeeper Kiran Chemjong has been appointed the brand ambassador of US-based tech company IT Sutra Inc. The 3-year partnership highlights a strong connection between sports and technology.
The agreement, valued at NPR 30 lakh, was officially signed on Monday. IT Sutra, a technology consulting and staffing company headquartered in Texas, announced Chemjong as the face of their brand for the next three years. The company has been offering innovative tech solutions for over 11 years.
The company stated that Kiran Chemjong’s discipline, dedication, and international image align perfectly with their mission to promote Nepali tech talent on the global stage. His inspiring presence both on and off the field makes him the ideal ambassador to bridge the gap between sports and technology.
CEO Pankaj Shrestha praised Chemjong, calling him a source of inspiration for young Nepalis. He said, “Kiran Chemjong is not just a football star; he’s a symbol of commitment and values that match our company’s spirit.” Shrestha added that the partnership will involve Chemjong in upcoming brand campaigns, youth training programs, digital promotions, and social initiatives.
IT Sutra is known for helping over 1,200 Nepali tech professionals secure opportunities at top American firms. The company aims to make Nepali tech talent globally competitive through skill development and partnerships like this.
Currently touring the USA, Kiran Chemjong is a veteran goalkeeper who has represented Nepal in over 100 international matches, becoming the first player in Nepali history to do so. He has played professional football in India and the Maldives, and domestically for clubs like Three Star Club, Machhindra FC, and Dhangadhi FC in the Nepal Super League.
