Nepal announce six‑match T20 series tour to Australia in August

The Nepal national cricket team is scheduled to tour Australia from August 14 to 24, as announced by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). This visit is part of their preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026 Asia Qualifier, which will take place in Oman from October 1 to 17.

During the Australia tour, the Nepal national cricket team will participate in the Top End T20 series, playing at least six matches against strong local teams. These matches are expected to provide valuable game time and international exposure for the players ahead of the big tournament.

The games will be hosted at popular cricket venues in Darwin, including DXC Arena, TIO Stadium, and Cazalys Arena. CAN stated that the complete match schedule for the Nepal national cricket team will be announced next week.

This tour is seen as a crucial step in Nepal’s journey toward competing at the global stage, offering the team both experience and momentum ahead of the qualifier.
