The Lumbini Lions have confirmed their six-player retention list for the upcoming second season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL). Topping the list is Nepal national cricket team captain Rohit Paudel, a key figure expected to play a leading role once again.
Joining Rohit in the retained lineup are Sundeep Jora, Bibek Yadav, Tilak Raj Bhandari, Abhishek Gautam, and Dinesh Adhikari. These players form a strong foundation for the team as they prepare for a highly anticipated NPL 2025 season.
According to the league’s rules, every franchise is allowed to retain a maximum of six players. Prior to Lumbini Lions’ announcement, both Sudurpaschim Royals and Chitwan Rhinos had already revealed their set of six retained players.
Looking ahead, a mini auction for NPL 2025 is set to take place in July, where teams will have the opportunity to build around their core squads and recruit new talents. With this initial list, the Lions appear poised to be a major contender in the tournament.
