Nabin Neupane has been appointed the Nepal head coach for the AFC U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers, to be held from September 3–9 in Tajikistan. His appointment was made official by the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) this week.
Neupane, a former national team player and former acting coach of the senior national team, was picked by ANFA to lead Nepal’s U-23 team for the tournament. His appointment was finalized in a ceremony attended by ANFA Acting General Secretary Kiran Rai, executive members Purushottam Thapa and Manish Joshi, CEO Indraman Tuladhar, among other dignitaries.
Nepal has been drawn into Group H of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers, which includes Tajikistan, Syria, and the Philippines. The group stage will be conducted in Tajikistan, and only the top teams will qualify to play in the 2026 AFC U-23 Asian Cup.
